About The Event
What’s the Bottleshop Collaboration Project (BCP)?
It’s 11 small, local, independent bottle shops in Western Washington that share common values and a love of craft beer. This time around Breakside Brewery has made us all a sour beer. The release party is Friday, March 2nd @ 5PM! Details for the beer are below.
Sour Ale aged in Oak Barrels with Jasmine, Chamomile, and Peaches.
This is a blend of 7 casks coming from our 2016 Barrel Fermented Peach Project. The majority of the casks (6) were inoculated with WLP 648 Brettanomyces bruxellensis Trios Varai aka Brett Brux, and the last cask was inoculated with WLP 650 Brettanomyces Bruxellensis. Each cask received at least 50lb of peach that was processed and pureed in house as well as some of our house live lacto strain. These 7 casks are blended together and held for stability as well as being aged on Jasmine and Chamomile. ABV: 7.9% IBU: 5
